Shipping Services in Chenango County

From birthday gifts to fragile items or urgent documents, Norwich Copies Plus offers a variety of shipping and packaging services to take the guess work out of small package shipping. As a UPS Authorized Shipping Outlet and FedEx Authorized ShipCenter, we provide flexibility to choose the best service for your needs.

Authorized Shipping

As an authorized shipper we stay current on carrier requirements, including proper measurement, packing, and service selection. Our scales are legal for trade and pass annual inspection. Shipping through our store can save you the headache of package audits and retroactive carrier bills.

Professional Packing

We “pack and wrap” to ensure your items arrive safely. Our staff use quality boxes and packing materials to save you the headache of dealing with a damaged shipment. Our package insurance program provides a more cost-effective alternative to traditional carrier declared value coverage. Unlike traditional coverage, our insurance program also insures the cost of your shipment, packing materials, and our pack and wrap services.

  • Our staff are trained on properly packing items for shipment. For each shipment we assess for box size, fragility, suitable packing materials, and proper labeling. Getting these wrong can lead to damaged shipments or additional bills from carriers (sometimes months after your shipment was delivered).

  • Yes! We source proper packing materials for use in-store or for you to purchase and take home. When possible, we try to use other New York suppliers. We have various box sizes, bubble, wrap, peanuts, and bubble mailers.

Are you a local small business and need help finding a better price for boxes? Ask for an owner and we’ll see if we can help you.

  • We recommend a carrier service based on each shipment and what you need. We factor in rate, speed, and type of shipment (documents vs. large package).

  • Yes! We accept ready to ship UPS/FedEx packages at no charge. We can help prepare drop offs even if you already have a label (time and materials fees may apply).

  • Our staff assesses the item and determines if it should be single or double boxed, and an appropriate amount of packing material. Please let our staff know if your shipment is fragile.

Fragile “stickers” do not guarantee how packages are handled by automated equipment while in transit. Let us pack it for you and skip the hassle!

  • We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, APO and FPO addresses. These shipments must be sent through the United States Postal Service (USPS).

We may decline providing international service based on the commodity or destination country.

  • Yes. International shipping is subject to both carrier regulations and government oversight (customs in both in the origin and destination).

We recommend notifying us by phone or email prior to a non-document international shipment.

What to Know Before you Go

    • Full Destination Address and Contact: We will need a complete address, contact name, phone number, and email for the sender and receiver. Some countries also require the recipient’s Tax ID number.

    • Detailed Contents List: Avoid generic terms like “gift" or “clothes.” We will use specific terms for each item (“men’s cotton t-shirt”).

    • Item Value: We need the approximate retail value of each item in the box.

    • Country of Origin: We need to know where each item was manufactured (e.g., Made in USA or Made in China).

    • Leave the Box Open: Even if you pack the box yourself, leave the box unsealed so we can verify the contents for security and customs accuracy.

    • Restricted Items: Every country has different rules. We visit carrier websites each international shipment to pull the most recent restrictions.

We may decline international service based on the commodity or destination country.
